It's Okey Solo exhibition 2 November at 15:00 in Gallery S9 (Grunerløkka)

This is so exciting. Soon the day has arrived for my very first art exhibition!

Saturday 2 November 2024 at At 15:00 there will be a vernissage and something sparkling in the glass. I stay there all evening and am incredibly happy for everyone who comes by. Bring friends and acquaintances (and those you don't know). I look forward to it and hope you will appreciate the pictures!

Perhaps you are wondering why my exhibition is called It's Okey ?

It has a background in the question I received about what the theme of my upcoming exhibition should be. This is something gallerists are often concerned about. But the truth is that I have no specific theme; I paint what I want to paint, and therefore all my paintings are different. The only common thread is me – as an artist.

This reflection made me think about how many people in today's society strive for the perfect. There is a constant pressure to fit into a certain mold. It applies to both how to be and what to do. This pressure can lead to a lot of stress and dissatisfaction. Embracing our imperfections and being true to ourselves can be a powerful antidote to these pressures. We don't have to strive for perfection. It's perfectly fine to be who you are; It's okay.

Every brushstroke, every color and every texture in my paintings is part of my story. A true story that I try to tell. They are a reflection of who I am and what I feel.

Through my art, I want to convey this message. I want my paintings to be a reminder that it's okay to be imperfect. That it's okay to be real. Because in the real we find the beautiful, the beautiful, the imperfect.
